2) Order Batching: Prioritization of orders based on cancel date and other factors. Proper batching of orders in sequence so that orders are picked and packed time sensitively to start ship/cancel dates. Re-allocation of orders if orders do not pick and require quantity revision.
3) Financial Securing: financially securing customer’s payment method prior to batch status. For credit card payments, pre-authorization of funds prior to pick with charge followed up upon confirmation of fulfillment with shipping charges for COD orders, communication of COD to shipping provider for proper delivery. For terms orders, allocation of terms upon order placement. For factored orders, communication with factor to insure order is approved.
4) Collections: Manage and maintain timely collections for terms, COD, credit card or factor that adhere to client’s specifications.
5) Oversee Inventory Management: Work with inventory systems and reconcile annual physical inventories so that inventory management software is accurate and up to date. Coordinate with returns so that reverse logistics are accounted for and properly reflected in acting inventory. Adjust shortages properly and address with clients.
6) Client Customer Relations: - If requested, communicate directly with clients’ customers or the retailers to give updates or provide any necessary information to the fulfillment/shipping process.
